As I stumbled through this project, I revised and simplified several times. I began the project with elaborate and lofty ideas where each page would be ensconced in my personal touch. However, as I slowly worked through each post, I sacrificed some of my more complicated ideas in hopes of providing a more unified image. I’m not sure if I attained that. As I scroll through my posts, I see the images and ideas that reflect my personal tastes but I also see posts that reflect interests instead of taste. For example, the analogy for visibility post or my emblem for quickness illustrate my more alternative and eclectic tastes that I recognize as part of my personal Aesthetic but posts like the my emblem for multiplicity do not quite fall under what my Aesthetic to be.
However, I think it works. My Aesthetic is an eclectic collection of old school kitsch and alternative creativity. I beleive the proper way of explaining it would be a quote/poem from e.e. cummings. It is quite a motto but I believe it encompasses the mindset behind my Aesthetic.
“Creative Kitsch”
As far as an emblem that encompasses my Aesthetic, I have decided on a image of computer desktop wallpaprer (oddly enough). Classified under abstract this image titled THE MAEOR. It perfectly resembles my Aesthetic. It is seemingly random, undeniable creative, and just flat out fascinating.
